The Boys Under-14 Session at University of Leeds scheduled for tomorrow (Sunday 5 Feb) has been cancelled due to the bad weather

Yorkshire Men's & Women Hockey Leagues

We assume most games scheduled for this weekend will be cancelled. Games will not be moved en bloc as there are no free Saturdays before Easter.

The deadline at present for completion of all league fixtures is Sunday 1st April to enable detailed planning for next season to be completed on schedule. If you don't have games scheduled for any Saturdays obviously use these, otherwise you will need to look at mutually covenient Sundays or even midweek evening games.

Please note the clubs meeting on Wednesday 13th June has been brought forward to Tuesday June 12th (the main rooms at Wakefield Sports Club are not available on Wednesdays).

Yorkshire League Matches Postponed due to the Cold Weather on Saturday 10 December 2011

All matches postponed on Saturday 10 December 2011 have been moved en bloc to the February slip dates: Women - Saturday 11 February 2012; Men - 18 February 2012.

Match start times and venues have been also been moved to the new dates and clubs will need to confirm the changed date, start time and venue information with opponents.

Some clubs have already moved other fixtures to the February slip dates although they were asked not to do this as the dates were reserved for county wide bad weather problems such as that experienced last Saturday. If you had already allocated fixtures to the February slip dates and you now have a fixture clash (ie two fixtures for the same team on the same date) you will need to re-schedule one of the fixtures (unless you intend to play two fixtures on the same day).

Some fixtures postponed on 10 December have already been rearranged to dates other than the February slip dates. This is fine and is a good idea as it leaves the February slip date free for other possible bad weather postponements. If you can rearrange postponed matches for dates other than the slip dates you are encouraged to do so.

Some clubs have not yet reported their fixture from 10 December as postponed. Please do this as soon as possible so that fixtures can be moved to the February slip date. Also failure to do this can incur a £15 fine from the league. Please note that when a fixture is not played for any reason the fact should be reported in the same way and to the same deadlines as a fixture that is played.

REPORTING YORKSHIRE LEAGUE MATCH RESULTS
FROM THE WEEKEND OF 1/2 OCTOBER 2011

Several groups of Club Officers need to be brought online with the YHA Website: Club Secretaries, Club Fixture Secretaries and Results Inputters. This will need about 500 people being registered and being brought up to speed with the admin system side of the YHA Website. To achieve this we will be bringing people online in batches to minimize time spent giving IT support (if needed) as there is only myself available to offer this support.

If you have been registered and have access to the system please use it add results, amend fixtures or Maintain Player Registration. If you have yet to be brought online please email fixture amendment details to -email-
Use the same email address to report results or text results to 07936 515230.

Please make sure you state which League (Men's, Women,s Boys Under-12s, etc.) For Men's or Women's Leagues please state which division then home team name and number followed by the score then the away team name and number, ie Men's Div 6S Sheffield 7 2-2 Abbeydale 2.

For YYHL results state age group, ie BU12 (= Boys Under-12) then team name and number followed by the score then the second team name and number, ie BU12 Sheffield 2 0-0 Abbeydale 1.

believe that all venues are listed on the YHA Website (based on info in

League Results w/e 9/10 April 2011

To all clubs

The league season officially ends on Sunday April 10th.

All match results should be sent by text to 07936 515230 or emailed to -email- as soon after games are played that weekend, and if any games are unplayed by midnight that day the league will award 0 points to both sides.

Only in exceptional circumstances can a club make representation to their league secretary before that date claiming the points for a 3-0 award, because the other club was unwilling to agree a re-arranged date.

Season 2011-2012

The YHA Competitions Committee are currently in the process of sorting out league dates for next season (2011-2012).

We would like to remind all YHA League Clubs that we need to know whether you wish to withdraw any existing teams, or enter new teams to the leagues by 15th April 2011 at the very latest.

To allow us to start planning for next season we would like to know your intent to enter or remove a team from the leagues by 1st April 2011 (with final confirmation by 15 April 2011).

If there are too many new teams, new entries will be considered on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.

Bad Weather Postponements
YHA Men's & Women's Leagues
All postponed fixtures from 4 December 2010 have been moved en bloc to Saturday 2 April 2011.
Would all home clubs/teams ensure that they notify the YHA Webmanager, Andy Pettigrew, that games are postponed. Last weekend some teams/clubs failed to notify us that matches were off. Fines may be issued if notification is not made this weekend. You need to check and notify Andy Pettigrew of any change to the start times for the rearranged date. You can of course play earlier than 2nd April if mutually agreeable. Again please notify Andy as soon as you make that decision so the website can be kept upto date.

Teams in Men's div 6 have no games allocated on 11th Dec , 8th Jan and 26th March so you can play any of these games on those dates if you prefer , as you can for those already moved to 19th Feb. Agree with your opposition and notify Andy Pettigrew if you prefer this.
