We am writing this email with deepest regret in that after a long drawn out meeting this evening Richmond Ladies Hockey Club must pull out of Yorkshire Women's Hockey League Division Two.

It has been a very tough season from the outset, losing vital players to university and travels etc. And now due to the weather and the fact that our home pitch will be out of use for the foreseeable future, it is very difficult to keep a small, young club interested when there is no meeting ground/playing able to continue.

On a positive note, we hope to restart in September 2010, hopefully with a cleaner, more playable surface and a re-energised squad!

YORKSHIRE YOUTH LEAGUE NEWS

Hi All,
Paul Graham, Halifax HC, has been in touch to say that there is no chance of hockey being played at Halifax on Sunday 31st January.
Today Saturday it took until well into the afternoon for it to be in any condition at all for use so with a similar if not worse forecast for tonight ...... tomorrow's U12 Girls session has been CANCELLED.
Paul is setting the cascade system of the first named team in each Division to pass the information on to the other teams in the Division by phone so between us ...phone & email we should hit all Club Contacts.
Once again the Order of Play for Sunday 31st will be used for the next U12 Girls session(Week 6) on 28th February which will be the last session of the season.

YHA League Hockey 16/17 Jan 2010

There were 92 YHA Men's and Women's fixtures scheduled for Saturday 16 January. Seventeen were played (15 Men's and 2 Womem's) and two have no result or postponement reported (at LA Carnegie, Lincoln and City of York). All the rest were postponed.

Postponed fixtures from 16 January 2010 will be moved to en bloc 10 April 2010 (the weekend after Easter). Clubs can organise postponed fixtures for dates other than 10 April but please ensure that your opponents agree and that your Division Reps are informed as well as YHA Website Manager.

Clubs will need to notify opponents of start times for rearranged 10 April matches. Start times from 16 January were not transferred to 10 April as clubs may not be able to book the same astro slots on that date. Venue info has remained the same. If this is different for 10 April please notify your opponents and the YHA Website Manager.

Girls Under-12 at Park Lane High School Halifax - SESSION CANCELLED - The order of Play for Sunday 16 January will be used for the next U12 Girls session (Week 5) on 31st January again at Halifax HC / Park Lane High School.

Boys Under-14 at Darton HS; Brigshaw High School and Leeds Adel Carnegie HC are cancelled - At the fourth venue, Doncaster HC, the pitch has been cleared of snow and a decision will be made early Sunday morning at the latest

Ramgarhia HC
At a meeting of the Executive Committee of Yorkshire Hockey Association on Wednesday, 18 November 2009, Ramgarhia HC was suspended with immediate effect from all senior and veterans competitions under the aegis of this association until the end of the current season. Their playing records in all such competitions have been expunged.

Normanby Park HC

Normanby Park HC
Normanby Park HC have withdrawn their 2nd team from the YHA Men's League Division 6 due to a lack of players. Results for Normanby Park 2 have been expunged. Their 3rd team will continue to play in Division 9 and wiil still be known as Normanby Park 3 for the remainder of this season.
This arrangement has been agreed by the YHA Men's Hockey League Committee

YHA Men's League Div 8, 9 & 10 Match Sheets and Queries

At present the YHA Men's League does not have a Division Rep for Divisions 8, 9 & 10. If you would like to join the League Committee and fill or this or any other post you help would be gratefully received.

In the meantime would clubs having teams in these division please send match sheets to the League Secretary, Ruaridh (Rory) Stewart, and if you have any other issues regarding these divisions please contact either League Chair Peter Thompson or Assistant Chair Roger Lomas - contact details for all three are in the YHA Handbook.

YHA Men's and Women's Outdoor Hockey Leagues 2009-2010

YHA Men's and Women's Outdoor Hockey Leagues 2009-2010

The first set of Fixtures have been added to the YHA Website for the above leagues. These fixtures will be amended by Club Fixtures Secretaries once any necessary rearrangements have been agreed between clubs.

Start times and venues have so far been added for: Bingley Bees (M&W), Batley (W) and Old Malton (M)

Please note that Women's Division 6 now contains 14 teams. Teams in this division will only play 22 fixtures meaning that they do not play all opponents twice. This has been done to allow the maximum number of teams to participate in a full league programme.

Matches Awarded in mens Div 8, 9 & 10

YHA Men's Hockey League - Matches Awarded Divisions 8, 9 & 10
The YHA Website has been updated with matches that have been awarded in YHA Men's League Divisions 8, 9, & 10.
If you have rearranged a game that has been awarded but not submitted it for inclusion on the website please let Dave Fulford know. There are also one or two games that have not been played but the League committee has no information as to why. It would be helpful to let the relevant Divisional Secretary know asap.
