Regional Administrator Role

Responsible for providing administrative support to the Regional Manager and acting as the first point of contact for all enquiries in the regional office.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work closely with, and support the Regional Manager in delivery of work programme across 
the England Hockey Board strategic objectives at a regional level
• Respond efficiently to any regional enquiries by phone, fax, email and post
• Administration and organisation of coach, umpire and other England Hockey Board courses
• Process written information and distribute this to key partners
• Promote and market the work of England Hockey Board through e-mails, websites and
newsletters
• Establish and maintain any regional records on the contact relationship management
system and ensure an efficient filing system is in place
• Manage the administration systems in the regional office

Paul died peacefully in his sleep whilst on respite at St Michael's Hospice on Tuesday 29th June.

Many of you will know Paul from his playing days, he was also on the Yorkshire Hockey Committee for many years. Paul maintained his interest in hockey after his playing days and throughout his illness supporting Harrogate and took great enjoyment in watching his children Steve and Amy.

A service of Thanksgiving will be held at Stonefall Crematorium, Wetherby Road, Harrogate, HG3 1DE,  at 11am on Friday 9th July.  This is a celebration of Paul’s life so please wear colour. Family flowers only, donations to St Michael’s Hospice in lieu of flowers would be gratefully received. Please join us for refreshments at Harrogate Hockey club after the service.
]]> yhawebmanager@nospam.com (YHAWeb Manager) Thu, 01 Jul 2010 03:59:56 -0500 http://www.yorkshireha.org.uk/news.php?item.2350.9 Peter Hopwood http://www.yorkshireha.org.uk/news.php?item.2348.11 The Yorkshire Hockey League and the Yorkshire Hockey Umpires Assoociation heard with great sadness of the death of Peter Hopwood a senior member of Slazengers Hockey Club for many years.  Peter died suddenly at home on Tuesday May 25th. To Peter's wife Christine and all the family, Yorkshire Hockey Umpires Association and clubs throughout Yorkshire and the North will extend their very deepest sympathy.

Chairman of the Yorkshire League and recent President of YHUA, Peter Thompson writes:

"Kerry Rivett, Peter's daughter who I know through my work, kindly contacted me with the sad news. Peter was a familiar face at Slazengers as a player and then as coach to the 1st team,also as an umpire for many years. He umpired in the neutral scheme in both Yorkshire and the North. Then he umpired club games locally before being diagnosed with motor neurone disease last year. He fought a courageous battle and the last time I rang him, he was still his cheerful self, bravely facing the suffering and fight he knew was ahead. Peter died suddenly and is now at peace, but we in the umpiring world and players everywhere mourn his passing. The Slazengers club will have the longer and greater memories of a cheerful character, for Peter  was well liked by players and umpires over the wider area. Banter from the touchline was always laced with good humour. To Christine, Kerry, Rachel and the family, on behalf of the Yorkshire Hockey Umpires Association we extend our sympathy and thoughts at a very sad time."   
Peter Hopwood's funeral will be at Wakefield Crematorium on Friday 4th June at 11.30am.

Ramgarhia HC has applied to re-enter the YHL for season 2010/11, having served a period of suspension.  After careful consideration and discussions with club officials, YHA has agreed that Ramgarhia HC will re-enter YHL at Division 1.
