LINDUM 1 (WOMEN)
yhalogoblue.jpgLINDUM 1 (WOMEN)
Lincoln Roses HC merged with Lincoln HC at the end of the 2014/2015 season and have changed their name to Lindum HC.
They have increased the number of teams they are running. However Lindum 1st team play in Division 1 North of the East League which is equivalent to our North Division 1.  To accommodate them at an appropriate level we decided and notified teams at the clubs meeting in June 2016 that at the end of the season 2016/17 they will have a play-off against the 2nd team in the Yorkshire Premier League who would normally be promoted automatically to North Div 2 SE.
The winner of this pay off will play in North Div 2 SE and the loser will play in the Yorkshire Premier Division the following season.
The play off will take place on Sunday 23rd April 2017 at Doncaster, as part of the Yorkshire Cup Finals weekend.
We would normally insist that any new teams entering into the Yorkshire League should start at the bottom, but as this is a merger and Lincoln Roses have already started at the bottom division and worked their way through the leagues that this is the fairest solution, and ensures teams are playing at an appropriate level.

The above solution will affect relegation across the remaining non-regional Yorkshire League Divisions with three teams expected to be relegated in these Divisions (Premier, 1, 2 and 3).
Three teams will still be relegated from division 3 (positions 9.10 and 11). Although Division 3 is currently playing one team short we still need to relegate 3 teams as three teams are promoted from division 4 N & S.
Beyond that the fact that Division 3 only have 11 teams means that usual promotion and relegation will occur from Division 4N & S downwards.
We will indicate on the website against the league tables how many teams we expect to be relegated from each league.
This is very unlikely to change when promotion and relegation between North Division 1 and North Division 2SE is concluded but that will not be known conclusively until the North Division 2 play offs are concluded.
