YHA League Fixture Start Time and Venue Information
yhalogoblue.jpgYHA League Fixture Start Time and Venue Information
According to League Rule 6.9a home teams must add start time and venue information to the YHA Website by the latest 14 days before the start of the season.
To date some clubs have already added their fixture information and we request to those that have yet to do this that if you have your start times and venue info available you add it to the YHA Website as soon as possible.
This helps away teams start to plan their season in more detail and also allows any clubs that produce a printed fixture card to include away match start times and venues to be included when they go to press.

Please Note:
  • If your venue does not or cannot let you have start times for your fixtures for the whole season please add a note to each fixture stating something like ‘Start time not yet available.’
  • It would also be useful to let your away teams know by email that start times are not yet available.
  • If you cannot access your fixtures on the YHA Website to add start times and venue information for any reason please let me know.
  • Also, I am still willing to add your fixture information for you providing that you can supply it to me in an easy-to- understand format – this offer applies up to 31 August 2017.

Thanks
Andy Pettigrew

HockeyFest 2017
hockeyfest_17b.jpg
HockeyFest 2017 sign up is now OPEN and the dates are August 19th to September 10th.
Hockey players across the country have informed us that having a friendly and social club is a key influence in their playing experience. Supported by Notts Sports, HockeyFest 17 is open to everyone and is a great opportunity for clubs to develop some club unity and enjoyment in the build up to the start of their season.
Hockey Fest 17 is focused on the friendly and social side of hockey where clubs open their doors to new and existing hockey players. If you are feeling inspired from the summer of hockey then Hockey Fest is a perfect way to join the hockey family. That can be from juniors to volunteering to parents coming back to the sport there is something for everyone.

Click here to sign your club up
There is a competition for clubs to win an athlete visit for HockeyFest 17 if you register your event with details before the 31 July 2017

•         City of York HC
•         Bradford HC
•         Rotherham HC
•         Scarborough HC

Why should my club host a HockeyFest?
We are in the 3rd year of supporting clubs to celebrate the start iof the season with current members and help welcome new ones. In 2015 we saw 336 clubs opened their doors and clubs are still seeing the benefit of taking part. In 2016 over 23,500 player took part in their local HockeyFest with 10% of them being new to hockey! Here are what the clubs said:

·         89% of clubs saw a positive impact on their club
·         97% would take part in HockeyFest again
·         100% of new players surveyed have gone on to join their local hockey club
·         Each HockeyFest obtained on average 10 new players
·         Approximately 23, 500 players attended HockeyFest
·         Approximately 2, 223 new players
