YORKSHIRE YOUTH HOCKEY LEAGUES - Season Summary
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE who has helped and made the season so successful .... the YYHL is about TEAM WORK amongst the Coaches/Managers & Contacts at each Club and if we all pull in the same direction and support each other then anything is possible.
We successfully managed to complete the YYHL Programme yesterday at Wakefield Hockey Club by playing the U16 Boys Play Off Finals at Wakefield Hockey Club ...they were originally postponed due to snow at Halifax HC.

We are already looking towards next season: The YYHL Annual Meeting is being planned for late May/early June...details to follow. Pitches are being approached to assess whether they will welcome the YYHL next season to use their facilities and what the hire rate will be. If you have a favourite pitch that will be suitable for YYHL Hockey then please let us know. One double pitch site may well be dropped due to a proposed large increase in the hire rate to use the facilities and another double pitch may also not be used due its susceptibility to frost. The YYHL Programme for next season is being prepared using the EH Centralised Calendar as the starting point, this will include the HDGs & Yorkshire County In2Hockey dates, the EH U16/14 Clubs Cup (Yorkshire Round) and the JAC Competition dates. It is planned to return to the "normal" programme at YYHL U16/U14 level with 6 sessions + the Play Off Finals next season. Finally I will need ...... 1: The number of teams each Club wishes to enter U10/U12/U14/U16 Boys & Girls by the Annual Meeting. 2: Club's Contact details by the end of August for each team if possible...
