Player Surveys Re-open!
The Player Survey is back for 2016, giving players from across the country the chance to feedback on all things hockey to their club and to England Hockey.
A Nation Where Hockey Matters
It has been 2 years since England Hockey first gave players and clubs from across the nation the chance to feedback on everything hockey related. There was an amazing response from across the nation and it is now time to re-open the Player Survey as a development tool for clubs. England Hockey have commissioned the Sport Industry Research Centre at Sheffield Hallam University to conduct this research on their behalf.
Open until the end of May 2016, clubs have the opportunity to use this tool to gather feedback from their players and further enhance their club. The data collected will be used by your club and by England Hockey to inform planning for the future with players' interests at heart.
A summary report based on player responses will be produced for each club which encourages more than 8 players to respond. With information on the impact of social dynamics through to training and coaching this report will provide clubs with a unique insight into the positive aspects of the club environment alongside features that can be targeted for improvement.
So far, ten clubs in Yorkshire and Humberside have reached this threshold, but we would like to believe that this total could go much higher. With a week to go, we would be very grateful if clubs could ask their members to complete the online questionnaire, which takes roughly 10 minutes.
We think this is a great tool to use at the end of a season to help understand how you can improve your club next year. As an incentive to complete the survey, respondents can enter a prize draw, in which they could win one of five pairs of tickets to the Hockey Champions Trophy which is taking place at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre next month, or one of five £50 Barrington Sports Vouchers.
Please note, the closing date for the surveys is 31 May 2016!
