Entry for England Hockey's Centrally run Knockout Competitions are now open for the 2016-17 season.
These competitions are open to all levels of clubs and players. There is everything from Juniors to Masters and all in between. You can take on the National League champions in the Cup, or just play more socially in the Mixed Trophy; something to suit every club and player. It’s a great way to put your area on the Hockey map.
All the information is available to clubs and yourselves via the EH Website at England Hockey Competition Entry 2016-17 with some additional information below.


Entry Deadline Info
The competitions have direct entry to England Hockey via an on-line portal on the Fixtures Live platform. [link]
There are the deadlines for entry this season:-
•    Monday 15th August - Men’s Cup & Investec Women’s Cup
•    Tuesday 23rd August - Boys’ & Girls’ U14 and U16 competitions
•    Monday 29th August – Men’s Trophy & Vase, Investec Women’s Trophy & Women’s Vase, Men’s & Women’s 2nd XI Cup & Plate
•    Monday 12th September -Boys & Girls’ U18 Cups & Plates. Masters’ competitions
•    Monday 17th October  - Mixed Trophy & Plate & Boys U18 Schools Cup

Why enter a Knockout Competition?

•    Chance to play at Hockey’s Olympic Legacy Facility
•    Challenge yourself against new opposition
•    Easy online entry
•    Live draws throughout the season
•    Compete for the title 'National Champions'
•    For each 1st team entered the club will receive 2 complimentary 'Clubhouse' tickets to a day at the league finals weekend, and a 2 standard tickets for each further team entered.

Some FAQ’s

•    How many games will a team get? Teams can play approx 5-6 rounds including the final (dependent on final entry numbers). In many of the competitions there are live draws of the latter stages via the England Hockey twitter account.
•    What’s a Plate competition? This is for clubs who lose in the early rounds and guarantees teams at least two games in the competition. 
•    What does it cost to enter? Entry fees range from £50 to £70.
•    When are the matches? They are on Sundays on designated dates in the centralised calendar see here.
•    What’s the prize? The prize is to be the top team in the country in the different classes.
•    Where are the finals? The culmination of all the competitions is at Lee Valley Hockey & Tennis Centre where teams get the chance to play on the same stage as our international players. We lay on a full big match experience with music, sports presentation, big screen, on-field presentations, photography, colour souvenir programme and coverage on the England Hockey website and full spectator facilities.
