After 21 years of playing, umpiring and coaching hockey the personality that was Richard Jane Snr sadly passed away on 13/08.
Known mostly as ‘Santa’, Richard put is heart and sole into hockey both at Wakefield and Barnsley Hockey Club.
Whatever he did with hockey he did with all his heart and commitment – never giving up on a game and more importantly ensuring that anyone and everyone took part, enjoyed hockey and each other’s company.
Richard was a personality you simply could not ignore and he will be sorely missed throughout Yorkshire Hockey
